ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Monday the club had re-signed forward Luther Archimède ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Archimède arrived in Albuquerque in August 2025 after a midseason transfer from fellow USL Championship club Monterey Bay FC and recorded two goals in 278 minutes across the regular season and playoffs. The Guadeloupe international scored the decisive goal in United’s 1-0 road victory against San Antonio FC, which served as a key result in the club’s top-three finish in the Western Conference.
“We’re thrilled to bring Luther back into the fold,” said Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. “He stepped in midseason and made an immediate impact, scoring important goals in key moments for us. We’re excited to see what he can do in 2026.”
A native of Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, Archimède has recorded 17 goals and four assists in 100 appearances in the USL Championship over his career, which has also included stops at the New York Red Bulls II and Sacramento Republic FC. He also brings valuable international experience, having recorded three goals and one assist in 16 caps with the Guadeloupe national team.
