Las Vegas Lights FC acquires Kyle Scott via transfer from Crawley Town

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Thursday the club had acquired midfielder Kyle Scott via transfer from EFL League Two club Crawley Town FC for an undisclosed fee and signed him to a contract through the 2028 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Born in Bath, England, Scott was a key player for fellow USL Championship side Orange County from 2022 to 2025, racking up 81 appearances across three-and-a-half seasons and helping the team reach the Western Conference Semifinals in 2023 with crucial contributions in midfield.

The 28-year-old recorded two goals and seven assists in 5,587 minutes across the USL Championship regular season and playoffs, completing 3,024 passes at a 87.4 percent accuracy rate and logging 57 chances created while winning 117 tackles at a 69.6 percent success rate and 425 duels at a 55.3. percent success rate.

“We are excited to welcome Kyle to the Lights, a player who knows the league very well and has excelled in it,” said Lights Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “He’s a complete midfielder with great composure, accurate passing, and important versatility in different midfield roles. We look forward to his veteran presence anchoring the midfield in Head Coach Devin Rensing’s system in 2026 and beyond.”

A product of the Chelsea FC Academy at Cobham, which he joined in 2007, Scott won three FA Youth Cups and two UEFA Youth League trophies with The Blues, playing alongside future stars such as Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, and Dominic Solanke.

Scott made his professional debut with the Chelsea first team on February 16, 2018, coming on as a substitute in a 4-0 victory over Hull City for the fifth round of the FA Cup.

He then joined Dutch second division side SC Telstar on loan for the 2018-2019 season, making 14 appearances and scoring two goals. The following year, he moved on from Chelsea to join Newcastle United’s under-21 team, where he’d make 17 appearances and contribute with one assist.

Scott hopped over the pond for the first time in 2021, joining MLS side FC Cincinnati, tallying four appearances for The Orange and Blue. In 2022, Kyle Scott signed for USL Championship club Orange County SC, before in the summer of 2025 being transferred to Crawley Town FC, where he made 12 appearances across all competitions.
