TULSA, Okla. – FC Tulsa has announced the signing of central midfielder Raheem Somersall ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Somersall joins the Scissortails after spending the past four seasons with North Carolina FC. The 28-year-old recorded one goal and one assist in 1,936 minutes across the regular season and playoffs in the past campaign while also recording 113 recoveries and 34 interceptions and winning 114 duels at a 54 percent success rate.
“Raheem will bring real steel to our midfield,” said Tulsa Sporting Director and General Manager Caleb Sewell. “He’s disciplined defensively, wins his duels, good on the ball, and willing to do the hard work that often goes unnoticed. Those players win you points over a long season, and we believe he’ll be a big piece for us in 2026.”
Somersall stepped up into the USL Championship for the first time in the 2024 season with North Carolina after helping the side win the USL League One title in 2023. He had previously competed in USL League One for both FC Tucson and South Georgia Tormenta FC, accumulating 6,394 minutes across 96 appearances in the regular season and playoffs while logging two goals and six assists.
A native of Basseterre, the capital of St. Kitts and Nevis, Somersall has been a regular for the country’s national team, recording three assists in 26 appearances and helping the side reach the Concacaf Gold Cup for the first time in 2023.
