Stefan Lukic had already written himself into FC Tulsa history.
In the Scissortails’ opening game of the 2025 USL Championship Playoffs, the Serbian forward’s flicked header early in extra time against defending title-holders Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC gave the club its first postseason victory.
Seven days later, he delivered the perfect encore.
Brought on at the start of extra time in a scoreless game against 2023 title-winner Phoenix Rising FC, Lukic provided one of the most memorable moments in USL Championship Playoffs history as his stoppage-time goal lifted the side to a 1-0 victory at ONEOK Field and into the Western Conference Final.
For his performance, Lukic has been selected as November’s Prinx Impact Sub of the Month, a new series highlighting key substitutions that have changed the course of a game this season.
As has been the case regularly this season, Lukic found himself in the right place at the right time to deliver for Tulsa. As the contest appeared ready to head to a penalty shootout, the hosts earned one final free kick on the left side. Giordano Colli’s lifted ball to the top of the six-yard area set up a chaotic sequence that eventually came to Taylor Calheira, whose shot from 14 yards was blocked well into the night sky.
Lukic settled under the dropping ball and produced a brilliant side-footed volley that looped over three defenders between him and the goal and past the dive of goalkeeper Patrick Rakovsky, sending the sellout crowd into wild celebrations.
Second minute of stoppage time in extra time, Lukic scores his sixth goal this season after coming on as a substitute to win it for @fctulsa.bsky.social. The Scissortails are going to their first #USL-C Western Conference Final.

“To see the stadium filled like this is incredible,” said Lukic. “I give credit to the staff and every single player. I believe we are changing the culture in Tulsa – seeing the stands full and feeling that passion for soccer means the world to me.”
The goal was the latest extra time finish in USL Championship Playoffs history, and continued Lukic’s super-sub heroics over the course of the season. Voted the Prinx Most Valuable Performer by fans last week, the 29-year-old recorded six goals off the bench across the regular season and playoffs as Tulsa earned its first silverware in club history with a Western Conference title.
Just as a high-impact sub can come off the bench to change a game, Prinx Tires has built a reputation as a game-changing, cost-effective solution to premium tire brands.
