Almost 2,000 saves were recorded across the regular season and playoffs, which gets your vote to advance to the final?

Almost 2,000 saves were recorded across the USL Championship’s regular season and playoffs in the 2025 season as the league’s goalkeepers delivered a remarkable campaign of stops that grabbed the spotlight throughout the campaign.

Now it’s time to decide the 2025 USL Championship Save of the Year presented by Terminix. We’ve picked out 16 top saves and placed them into four groups. Each group winner will advance to next week’s Final stage, where the Save of the Year will be crowned.

Cast your vote for your favorite in each group before Friday at 12 p.m. ET, then check back next week for the Final.

Group A

Hugo Fauroux, Loudoun United FC – #LDNvHFD, 4/5/25: The French shot-stopper went at full stretch to make an outstanding save on a flicked header by Hartford’s Kyle Edwards that was pegged for the bottom-right corner.

Koke Vegas, Rhode Island FC – #RIvSA, 5/3/25: The first signing in club history lit up RIFC’s inaugural game at Centreville Bank Stadium, recovering brilliantly after a midfield turnover to parry a chip from 40 yards wide of the left post.

Antony Siaha, Hartford Athletic – #RIvHFD, 7/19/25: Siaha produced a remarkable display in El Clamico on national television highlighted by his point-blank save on RIFC’s Albert Dikwa, making a kick-save to deny the former Golden Boot winner.

Hunter Sulte, Indy Eleven – #DETvIND, 8/9/25: The 6-foot-7 shot-stopper needed every inch of his frame as he shifted quickly across goal to palm away a free kick by Detroit’s Kobe Hernandez-Foster that was pegged for the top-right corner.

Group B

Brooks Thompson, Lexington SC – #SACvLEX, 7/19/25: Thompson made a tremendous double-save, first keeping out a free kick by Republic FC’s Rodrigo Lopez headed to the top-left corner and then a rebound chance for Lee Desmond.

Damian Las, Louisville City FC – #LOUvCHS, 8/9/25: The Goalkeeper of the Year produced a crucial double-save against the Battery, denying MD Myers’ initial shot to the bottom-right corner before recovering to close down Cal Jennings’ rebound effort.

Bill Hamid, Tampa Bay Rowdies – #TBRvCOS, 9/13/25: The former United States international made an outstanding save as he shifted across his goal to deny a big opportunity for the Switchbacks’ Jonas Fjeldberg, turning the shot around the left post.

Carlos Saldaña, Detroit City FC – #LOUvDET, 11/1/25: Saldaña highlighted a remarkable postseason performance with an iconic stop, diving to make an incredible one-handed denial on Louisville’s Brian Ownby as part of Le Rouge’s upset victory.

Group C

Alex Tambakis, New Mexico United – #MIAvNM, 3/29/25: The league’s all-time saves leader produced a sensational double-save against Miami, turning away an initial finish by Allen Gavilanes before recovering and parrying Francisco Bonfiglio’s rebound effort wide of the right post.

Johan Peñaranda, FC Tulsa – #LVvTUL, 4/19/25: Peñaranda went at full stretch to make a one-handed save at Cashman Field, brilliantly turning Valentin Noel’s strike toward the top-right corner from distance wide of the upright.

Luis Zamudio, Charleston Battery – #TBRvCHS, 5/10/25: Zamudio made a tremendous double-save to keep out Tampa Bay’s Leo Fernandes and Manuel Arteaga, first parrying a close-range header before smothering the rebound chance for the Venezuelan forward.

Sebastian Mora-Mora, El Paso Locomotive FC – #OAKvELP, 6/7/25: The Mexican shot-stopper showed off his reflexes with a spectacular point-blank save that kept out Julian Bravo’s chance off a set piece at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum.

Group D

Nico Campuzano, Monterey Bay FC – #LEXvMB, 4/19/25: Campuzano produced a tremendous reflex stop on the road, stretching back to block a first-time effort by Lexington’s Nick Firmino from seven yards out.

Raiko Arozarena, Las Vegas Light FC – #LVvLDN, 5/3/25: The Cuban international pulled off a miraculous save after Florian Valot waltzed into space in the penalty area, making a one-handed stop that looped the finish just wide of the left post.

Richard Sánchez, San Antonio FC – #SAvTUL, 5/28/25: Sánchez made a tremendous stop, reversing direction as he shifted to his left in net to make a right-handed save to deny Tulsa’s Stefan Lukic on a first-time shot from the penalty spot at Toyota Field.

Danny Vitiello, Sacramento Republic FC – #SACvCHS, 10/22/25: The three-time Championship All-League selection tied the league’s all-time shutout lead with a brilliant late save against the Battery, denying Rubio Rubín from point-blank range.
