Lexington SC announces Terry Boss won't return as Head Coach for 2026

Led side to 9-12-9 record in first season in the USL Championship, one point out of playoff positions in West

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club announced on Monday that Terry Boss will not return as the Head Coach of its USL Championship team for 2026 season.

Lexington finished ninth in the Western Conference with a 9-12-9 record under Boss in its inaugural Championship campaign, finishing one point out of the playoff positions after earning only one point in the final five games of the regular season.

LSC recorded only 31 goals in the regular season, resulting in a -11 goal differential, as the side underperformed at both ends of the field. Its underlying numbers were more balanced, putting the side with a -1.8 Expected Goal Differential per Opta with 35.71xG and 37.51xGA.
