SEASIDE, Calif. – Monterey Bay FC announced on Tuesday its initial roster moves ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season, with nine players from the 2025 squad currently set to remain in Seaside.
Monterey Bay exercised contract options on goalkeeper Nico Campuzano, defenders Joel Garcia Jr. and Nico Gordon, midfielder Johnny Klein, and forwards Mayele Malango and Ilijah Paul. Midfielders Ethan Bryant and Xavi Gnaulati were previously under contract for the 2026 season, while the club on Monday announced a new multi-year deal with midfielder Adrian Rebollar through 2027.
Monterey Bay also declined contract options for Sam Gomez, Diego Gutíerrez, Luke Ivanovic, Miles Lyons, Jacob Muir, and Anton Søjberg, while Alex Dixon, Mobi Fehr, Pierce Gallaway, Sami Guediri, Carlos Guzmán, Alex Lara, Dallas Odle, and Grant Robinson are out of contract.
Additionally, midfielder Wes Fonguck (Ebbsfleet United FC) and forward Tarik Scott (FC Dallas) completed their respective loans with Monterey Bay FC and have returned to their parent clubs.
