Duo played key role over five seasons with club, leading team to 2024 USL Championship title

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Tuesday the club has parted ways with Sporting Director Stephen Hogan and Head Coach James Chambers, effective immediately.

Hogan and Chambers both arrived in Colorado Springs alongside former Switchbacks Head Coach Brendan Burke prior to the 2021 USL Championship season, and helped guide the club to five consecutive postseasons, with Chambers serving as Head Coach during the club’s run to its first USL Championship title in the 2024 season.

Hogan had served as Head Coach in the 2023 campaign, leading the side to a 16-13-5 record before moving into the Sporting Director role as Chambers became Head Coach prior to the 2024 season.

Chambers posted a record of 29-26-14 across the regular season and playoffs in two seasons, with the side falling to FC Tulsa in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2025 USL Championship Playoffs this past Saturday.

The club announced a search for a new Head Coach will begin immediately.
