IRVINE, Calif. – Colin Shutler recorded a five-save shutout as Orange County SC earned a 0-0 draw against Louisville City FC at Championship Soccer Stadium to remain in the hunt for a postseason berth going to the final day of the regular season while ending LouCity’s seven-game winning streak.

Both teams had chances to take the lead before the halftime break with LouCity’s Phillip Goodrum having a near-post header off a cross from the left parried away before OCSC’s Ryan Doghman rang the right post with a powerful shot just past the half-hour mark.

Louisville went close again on a shot by Jansen Wilson just before the hour-mark that went just wide of the left post, while Goodrum couldn’t put home an opportunity a few minutes later as OCSC struggled to clear a free kick from the left before the danger was averted. The sides exchanged late opportunities to grab all three points as Orange County’s Chris Hegardt was denied by Damian Las before LouCity’s Brian Ownby clipped the crossbar in stoppage time, but the points were shared as neither side was able to find the breakthrough.
