Les Grenadiers duo set for World Cup Qualifying, Echeverria joins Huracan Azul for friendly against Argentina

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Tuesday three players had received international call-ups during the current FIFA international window, with defenders Duke Lacroix and Garven Metusala set to join the Haitian National Team as it resumes FIFA World Cup Qualifying and midfielder Stevie Echevarria joining the Puerto Rico National Team as it plays an exhibition against Argentina.

Lacroix brings valuable experience to Haiti’s roster and was among the side’s top performers in September as he started both contests against Honduras and Costa Rica, logging an assist in Les Grenadiers’ 3-3 draw against Costa Rica. The versatile defender has now recorded 10 appearances for the side since his first call-up two years ago.

Metusala continues to be a steady presence for Haiti, earning 14 appearances, including 13 starts. He has surpassed 1,000 minutes for his country and most recently went the full 90 minutes against Costa Rica as Haiti earned a 3-3 draw away at the regional power.

Echevarria returns to action with Puerto Rico, for which he has made eight appearances, starting five games. He scored his first international goal earlier this year against St. Vincent and the Grenadines in World Cup Qualifying and has totaled 473 minutes of international play.
