LOUISVILLE CITY’S SEAN TOTSCH BECOMES REGULAR SEASON APPEARANCES LEADER
Louisville City FC’s Sean Totsch became the USL Championship all-time leader in regular season appearances on Saturday night as he recorded his 296th appearance in his side’s 1-0 victory against Detroit City FC at Keyworth Stadium. Totsch broke a tie with former leader Kenardo Forbes while remaining in range to become the first player to reach 300 regular season appearances by the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Totsch’s appearance was his 253rd regular season appearance for LouCity having previously made 43 appearances over his first two seasons in the league for the Rochester Rhinos. The 34-year-old also recorded his 30th career regular season goal – also the most by a defender in USL Championship history – while being part of the 89th regular season shutout he has featured in, 78 of which have come at LouCity.

Loudoun United FC’s Abdellatif Aboukoura scored his 12th goal of the regular season on Sunday evening against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, which saw him equal the single-season record for the most goals in a USL Championship by a player aged 21 or under. The 20-year-old’s second-half goal moved him into a tie with five other players for the league record as he found the net for the first time since June 25 against Louisville City FC.

San Antonio FC visits Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday night at Weidner Field aiming to maintain its upper hand in the series between the clubs dating to the 2019 season. Following San Antonio’s 3-2 victory against the Switchbacks in April, SAFC is now undefeated in 12 consecutive regular season games in the series between the sides.
San Antonio has gone 9-0-3 against the Switchbacks in the USL-C regular season, recording a 23-9 advantage in goals, since Colorado Springs last took victory in a 1-0 result on March 23, 2019.
SAFC’s undefeated streak is currently tied for the longest active undefeated run in a head-to-head series in the Championship, with the Charleston Battery extending their undefeated streak against Loudoun United FC to 12 games with a win and draw in the series between the clubs this season. San Antonio currently sits two results shy of the longest undefeated streak in a head-to-head series in the league, a 14-game streak by Sacramento Republic FC against FC Tulsa which concluded earlier this season.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC forward Augustine Williams recorded his 84th regular season goal in the USL Championship regular season on Sunday evening while continuing his success against Las Vegas Lights FC over the course of his career. The Sierra Leone international has recorded eight goals and two assists in 11 regular season appearances against the Lights in his career, tied for the fifth most by a player against a single club in league history.

- North Carolina FC forward Evan Conway became the 56th player to record 40 regular season goals in the USL Championship’s history with his finish against Miami FC on Friday night. Conway reached the mark in his 113th appearance in the league. He has averaged a goal every 194.6 minutes.
- Oakland Roots SC forward Danny Trejo scored the fastest goal in the USL Championship this season on Saturday, finding the net after just 41 seconds against former club Phoenix Rising FC.
- Indy Eleven midfielder Aodhan Quinn moved into sole possession of second place in regular season assists in USL Championship history with his helper on Jack Blake’s second-half goal against FC Tulsa. Quinn moved to 59 assists, breaking a tie with former teammate Solomon Asante, and is now seven behind Kenardo Forbes in first place.
- Oakland Roots SC forward Peter Wilson moved into a tie for second in single-season goals by a Roots player in the USL Championship regular season as his two-goal performance against Phoenix Rising FC moved him to 12 goals this season. Wilson is seven goals behind Ottar Magnus Karlsson for the club’s single-season record of 19 in the 2022 season.
- Hartford Athletic goalkeeper John Berner recorded his first shutout in the USL Championship since the 2022 season with his seven-save performance against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. Berner had last posted a clean sheet for Memphis 901 FC against FC Tulsa on October 15, 2022, marking a gap of 1,078 days between shutouts.
- Orange County SC’s Ethan Zubak recorded his 10th goal of the regular season on Saturday night, bagging a pair of goals in OCSC’s 2-2 draw against the Charleston Battery. Zubak is only the third player to record consecutive seasons with double-digit regular season goals in club history after Michael Seaton (2018-19) and Milan Iloski (2022-23).
- Oakland Roots SC’s 3-3 draw against Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday night marked the first time Roots had failed to take victory after holding a three-goal lead since joining the USL Championship. It also marked the second time Rising FC had rallied to draw after facing a three-goal deficit this season after its 4-4 draw against El Paso Locomotive FC on March 15.
- Miami FC’s 2.15 Expected Goals mark in its 1-0 loss against North Carolina FC last Friday night ranked second in the USL Championship this season among teams held scoreless in the respective contest, trailing only Lexington SC’s 2.7 Expected Goals mark in a 0-0 draw against Monterey Bay FC on April 19.
- Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC’s Robbie Mertz reached 9,999 regular season minutes for the club during its 1-0 victory against Las Vegas Lights FC on Sunday evening. Mertz would become the fourth player to reach 10,000 minutes for the Hounds in the USL-C era following Kenardo Forbes (15,490), Kevin Kerr (14,725) and Danny Griffin (14,513).

Lexington SC’s Daniel Wu has been suspended for one game following his red card for denial of a goalscoring opportunity against New Mexico United on September 28. Wu will be unavailable for selection in Lexington’s contest against FC Tulsa on Saturday night.
