INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced on Wednesday it had acquired goalkeeper Luke Pruter on loan from Columbus Crew 2 for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction was completed prior to the USL Championship Roster Freeze on Monday, Sept. 8 and per club policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Pruter has made 13 appearances for Crew 2 in MLS NEXT Pro this season, recording 54 saves and a save percentage of 65.8 percent with one shutout. The 6-foot-5 shot-stopper made three saves to earn a clean sheet vs. Carolina Core FC on June 28. He recorded a season-best seven stops against Chicago Fire FC II on Aug. 3.
The 24-year-old joined Crew 2 after his selection by Columbus Crew SC with the 87th selection of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. A native of Redondo Beach, Calif., Pruter previously appeared in 53 matches and made 51 starts during his collegiate career at the University of California-Irvine. He registered 4,667 minutes, 166 saves and 14 shutouts for the Anteaters.
Pruter ranked in the top 10 in numerous categories for UCI, earning 19 wins (6th), 14 shutouts (T-3rd), 166 saves (8th) and a 1.35 goals-against average (9th) in 53 matches (T-5th). As a junior in 2023, Pruter earned All-Far West Region and All-Big West Conference second-team honors, recording eight shutouts and 51 saves while posting a 1.04 goals-against average.
