PITTSBURGH RIVERHOUNDS SC’S AUGUSTINE WILLIAMS SURPASSES 100 GOAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC forward Augustine Williams became the ninth players to record at least 100 goal contributions in the USL Championship’s regular season as he recorded a pair of goals in the Hounds’ 2-0 victory against Oakland Roots SC on Sunday afternoon at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum. The 28-year-old moved to seven goals this regular season, raising the potential he will record a fourth consecutive season with double-digit goals, which would be the fifth of his career overall.
Williams’ brace was the 13th of his career in the Championship and moved him to 101 goal contributions in the league’s regular season. The Sierra Leone international also became the leading active goalscorer in the USL Championship with 83 goals in 247 regular season appearances, while moving into second place all-time behind Dane Kelly on 106 regular season goals.

The Charleston Battery’s Cal Jennings recorded both goals in his side’s 2-1 victory against Indy Eleven on Saturday night at Patriots Point. The performance marked the 15th brace by Jennings in the USL Championship regular season, equaling the league record held by Dane Kelly.
Jennings has recorded four two-goal performances this season, equaling his individual single-season high set with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the 2023 season. The 28-year-old has recorded multiple two-goal games in four of his six seasons in the Championship, reaching the mark in his 146th regular season appearance.

Louisville City FC defender Sean Totsch became the first player to record 250 regular season appearances in the USL Championship for one club this past Saturday when he started against Rhode Island FC at Centreville Bank Stadium. The 33-year-old had previously this season become the first player to log 20,000 regular season minutes for one club, joining LouCity prior to the 2017 season.
Totsch is one of three players to have recorded at least 200 regular season appearances for LouCity, being joined by Niall McCabe – who recorded his 230th regular season appearance for the club against Rhode Island – and retired midfielder Paolo DelPiccolo with 202.

Louisville City FC recorded one of the most unique victories in club history this past Saturday as for the first time on record it earned all three points in a 1-0 victory against Rhode Island FC without recording a shot inside the opposing penalty area.
The contest marked the first on record – from the inception of the USL’s partnership with Opta prior to the 2017 season – in which LouCity had been held without a shot inside the penalty area. The club’s previous low was one shot, recorded against the Rochester Rhinos on September 29, 2017 and the Tampa Bay Rowdies on July 7, 2018.
Through Aiden McFadden’s first-half goal, the side became only the third team on record to win in the USL Championship without recording a shot inside the opposing penalty area in the USL Championship regular season and tied for the second-lowest Expected Goals mark in a victory in league history with a 0.1xG mark.

- Indy Eleven’s Jack Blake recorded his 40th regular season goal in the USL Championship against Hartford Athletic last Wednesday night. The English midfielder is the 19th player to record at least 40 goals and 25 assists in the Championship’s regular season history.
- Detroit City FC’s Darren Smith recorded his 10th goal of the regular season on Saturday in the club’s 4-1 victory against Orange County SC, equaling the club’s single-season high for goals since it joined the USL Championship in 2022. Both Maxi Rodriguez and Ben Morris recorded 10 goals a season ago for the club.
- Sacramento Republic FC’s Rodrigo López has recorded a goal contribution in five consecutive games, logging three goals and three assists in that span. It marks López’s longest goal contributions streak in the USL Championship regular season, having previously posted four-game runs on three occasions.
- Loudoun United FC’s Hugo Fauroux recorded his third penalty kick save this regular season on Saturday night against El Paso Locomotive FC. Fauroux is the 11th player to record at least three penalty saves in a USL Championship regular season since the start of the 2017 season. Former Hartford Athletic goalkeeper Jeff Caldwell holds the single-season record with five penalty saves in the 2021 season.
- The Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Lewis Hilton became the 16th player in USL Championship history to record 20,000 regular season minutes during the club’s contest against Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday.
- The Charleston Battery recorded their 10th consecutive home victory in the USL Championship regular season with a 2-1 victory against Indy Eleven on Saturday night. The Battery’s home winning streak is now tied for the sixth-longest in league history, three shy of the regular season record set by Orlando City SC in 2014.
- Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s 2-1 victory against Monterey Bay FC on Saturday marked the first time the side had taken victory after trailing at halftime in the USL Championship since a 2-1 victory against Rio Grande Valley FC on September 18, 2021. The Switchbacks had failed to rally for victory in the previous 33 instances when they trailed at the halftime break.
- The Charleston Battery’s 77.7 possession mark against Indy Eleven in the club’s 2-1 victory at Patriots Point on Saturday night was the highest in a single-game in the USL Championship this season, and the third-highest on record in league history. Charleston’s mark surpassed New Mexico United’s 76.7 percent possession mark against North Carolina FC on April 12, the previous high this season.
