LEESBURG, Va. – Loudoun United FC announced on Monday that forward Arquímides Ordóñez has been called up to the Guatemala Men’s National Team as it opens play in the final stage of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup this week.
Guatemala will host El Salvador on Thursday, Sept. 4 and visit Panama on Monday, Sept. 8 in Group A of Concacaf qualifying as the country bids for its first trip to the World Cup in program history.
Ordóñez has recorded three goals in four league appearances since joining United following competing for Los Chapines at the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, including scoring the game-winner this past Saturday in United’s 3-1 victory against Miami FC.
