MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Westchester SC announced on Friday it had acquired winger Deshane Beckford on loan from Hartford Athletic for the remainder of the 2025 USL League One season. Beckford will be available for selection in Westchester’s contest against FC Naples on Saturday night.
Beckford joins Westchester having recorded 36 appearances for Athletic in the USL Championship since joining the club prior to the 2024 season. The Jamaican has recorded four goals, one assist and 22 chances created for the side in league play, with his speed offering a threat off the dribble for opposing defenses.
The 27-year-old has recorded 133 appearances in the USL Championship overall since his debut for Rio Grande Valley FC in the 2019 season. Beckford has recorded 15 goals, 13 assists and 94 chances created in that span, logging 7,618 minutes of action.
In addition to the Toros, Beckford has also competed for Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC – where he logged seven goals and 11 assists in 61 appearances across two stints with the club – and was part of San Antonio FC’s 2022 USL Championship-title winning squad.
