Lexington SC acquires Michael Adedokun via transfer from Club de Foot Montreal

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club announced on Friday it had acquired midfielder Michael Adedokun via transfer from Club de Foot Montreal of Major League Soccer.

Adedokun had previously joined Lexington on loan from CF Montreal, recording three goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season for the club. The 24-year-old has recorded two goals in the USL Championship this season, while also notching 20 chances created and 23 successful dribbles at a 54.8 percent success rate.

The Nigerian-born midfielder was selected 13th overall in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft before signing with CF Montréal. Prior to his professional career, Adedokun enjoyed a decorated collegiate run at the University of Dayton and Ohio State University.

His accomplishments include winning the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy in 2024, awarded to the top men’s collegiate soccer player in the nation. He also competed in USL League Two, making an impact with the Dayton Dutch Lions, Fort Wayne FC, and Flint City Bucks.
