BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham Legion FC announced on Tuesday it had acquired defender Amir Daley on loan from FC Cincinnati 2 for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

“Amir is a player that we have tracked since college and we’re excited to add him to our group for his impact,” said Legion FC CEO and Chief Soccer Officer Jay Heaps. “He is versatile and can play multiple positions across the backline and midfield.”

Daley makes the move to the Three Sparks having featured prominently for FC Cincy 2 over the past two seasons. The 23-year-old has recorded 43 appearances for the club and logged five goals and five assists. Earlier this season he also made his debut for FC Cincinnati, appearing in the club’s Concacaf Champions Cup contest against FC Motagua.

A native of Elmont, N.Y., Daley also made his international debut this past June, having received a call-up to the Antigua and Barbuda Men’s National Team and played the full 90 against Cuba and Honduras in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.
