Which playmaker deserves to be named Player of the Month?

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship today announced the nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for June, honoring four of the top performers through the fourth month of the 2025 season.

Voting for the Championship Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLChampionship.com will comprise 51% of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, July 7 at 12 p.m. ET.
  • The USL Technical Committee's ballots comprise 25% of the poll.
  • The USL National Media Panel’s ballots comprise 24% of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, July 10.

Please note: The Championship Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as Championship Player of the Year or position players of the year. Additionally, the selection process takes both USL Championship and USL Jägermeister Cup matches into consideration.

USL Championship PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES – June

  • F - Phillip Goodrum, Louisville City FC: Goodrum scored five goals in five Championship appearances, averaging a goal every 74.6 minutes while posting a shooting accuracy rate of 88.9 percent and a shot conversion rate of 55.6 percent for a Goals Added mark of +1.19. 
  • M - Luiz Fernando, New Mexico United: Fernando recorded two goals and two assists in four appearances across all competitions, posting a +1.44 Goals Added mark in three league appearances while recording six chances created and two big chances created from the right wing.
  • M - MD Myers, Charleston Battery: Myers recorded three goals and one assist in four appearances in the Championship, averaging a goal every 119.1 minutes while posting a 60 percent shot conversion rate as well as five chances created and two big chances created for a Goals Added mark of +1.12. 
  • M - Abdellatif Aboukoura, Loudoun United FC: Aboukoura recorded four goals in five appearances across all competitions, averaging a goal every 110.8 minutes, while posting a shooting accuracy rate of 75 percent in league play and notching 10 chances created.
