At an elevation of 6,035 feet, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s Weidner Field is one of the best homefield advantages in the USL Championship.

But beyond the 8,000 fans that regularly pack into the soccer-specific venue, there’s a supporter base that adds to the energy and atmosphere from Experience at Epicenter Apartments that overlook the venue’s south end.

As part of the City for Champions project, that dynamic of a downtown stadium anchoring a mixed-use development has made the Switchbacks a success on and off the field, with Weidner Apartment Homes’ acquisition of the club opening up more avenues for development around the stadium and its residential property.
