LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Tuesday the club had transferred defender Shaft Brewer Jr to Valletta F.C. of the Maltese Premier League.

Brewer made seven appearances across all competitions for the Lights in 2025.

“I’d like to thank Shaft for his contributions to the club this season,” said Lights Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “Throughout his time in Vegas, he showcased professionalism both on and off the pitch. We wish him the best of luck with the next steps in his career.”

Brewer arrived in Las Vegas on a free transfer in January 2025 from North Carolina FC, where he played 31 matches across all competitions in 2024. The former Sacramento Republic FC Academy product has recorded one goal in 1,631 minutes in the Championship over his career.

Valletta F.C. is set to return to the Maltese Premier League in the upcoming season after finishing top of the Maltese Challenge League in the 2024-25 season. A 25-time winner of the MPL, the side also features former Louisville City winger Enoch Mushagalusa, who scored nine goals in the campaign.
