COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Tuesday that forward Justin Dhillon has parted ways with the club due to personal reasons.
“I am really thankful for my time here with the Switchbacks,” said Dhillon. “I am so proud to be a part of the historic Championship win last season, and I wish nothing but the best for the club.”
The Switchbacks acquired Dhillon last August via transfer from El Paso Locomotive FC, a move that would prove instrumental in the club’s run to the 2024 USL Championship title. Throughout his time at the club, Dhillon recorded seven goals and two assists in 27 appearances across the Championship regular season and playoffs, averaging a goal every 148.3 minutes.
“We'd like to thank JD for his brilliant contribution to the championship season last year," said Switchbacks Sporting Director Stephen Hogan. “We wish him nothing but success going forward.”
Dhillon has made 190 appearances in the USL Championship across the regular season and playoffs in his career, recording 48 goals and 24 assists in 10,422 minutes of action. In addition to the Switchbacks and Locomotive, the 30-year-old had previously competed for the LA Galaxy II, Tacoma Defiance and San Antonio FC, where he won his first USL Championship title in the 2022 season.
