LOUISVILLE CITY ON VERGE OF CLUB-RECORD UNDEFEATED STREAK
Louisville City FC set a club record this past Saturday with its 2-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Rowdies extending its undefeated streak to start the 2025 USL Championship regular season to 11 games, the longest in its history.
The victory also extended LouCity’s current regular season undefeated streak to 17 games, with the side having closed the 2024 regular season on a six-game undefeated run (4-0-2). That ties the club’s longest regular season undefeated streak, set between April 9-July 17, 2016, and places it six games away from equaling the league-record 23-game undefeated streak set by FC Cincinnati in the 2018 season.

LOUISVILLE CITY’S SEAN TOTSCH PASSES 20,000 REGULAR SEASON MINUTES FOR CLUB

Louisville City FC center back Sean Totsch became the first player to surpass 20,000 minutes in the USL Championship’s regular season for one club this past Saturday, moving to 20,046 minutes for LouCity in the club’s 2-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Lynn Family Stadium.
With 239 regular season appearances for Louisville, Totsch is one of five players to have played in at least 200 regular season games for a single club in the Championship’s history. He’s joined by current teammate Niall McCabe (224 appearances) and former teammate Paolo DelPiccolo (202 appearances) in that group.

ANTONIO NOCERINO’S TENURE FOURTH-SHORTEST IN CHAMPIONSHIP ERA
Las Vegas Lights FC announced the departure of Head Coach Antonio Nocerino on Tuesday after 12 regular season games. Nocerino’s tenure ranked as the fourth-shortest in terms of regular season contests among permanent appointments in the USL Championship’s history.
The shortest tenure remains that of Mike Petke at Real Monarchs SLC in 2017, who following his appointment in December, 2016 led the Monarchs in their opening game of the season – a 2-1 victory against the Portland Timbers 2 – before being promoted to Head Coach of Real Salt Lake. Mark Briggs took over from Petke with the Monarchs and claimed Championship Coach of the Year honors while leading the side to the Players’ Shield that season.

CHARLESTON BATTERY CONTINUES UNDEFEATED STREAK AGAINST LOUDOUN UNITE

The Charleston Battery continued the club’s regular season undefeated streak against Loudoun United FC following the 1-1 draw between the Eastern Conference contenders on Saturday evening at Segra Field. The Battery are now undefeated in 11 consecutive games against Loudoun, with United’s last victory in the series coming on October 13, 2019 at Blackbaud Stadium.
The Battery’s streak is the second longest active streak in the Championship behind San Antonio FC’s current 12-game undefeated run against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

- Phoenix Rising FC’s current four-game winning streak is the club’s first in the Championship regular season since a run of four consecutive wins between April 2-23, 2022.
