TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship today announced that North Carolina FC's John Bradford has been named the USL Championship Coach of the Month for May.

Bradford helped NCFC to a perfect 4-0-0 month across USL Championship and USL Jägermeister Cup play, featuring three shutout victories and two wins on the road.

"It's a recognition that I share with our entire technical staff and support staff, who all put so much into our team and our club," Bradford said. "I believe our players and team took positive steps forward in May, and we were able to collect some quality results. We'll continue to work hard and hope to improve in a challenging month of June."

Bradford's side started May with a 2-0 road victory against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC before closing out league play in May with victories against a pair of visiting Western Conference foes, downing Orange County SC, 1-0, before defeating Oakland Roots SC, 4-2. North Carolina ended the month by picking up its first USL Jägermeister Cup victory, shutting out its former League One rival, the Richmond Kickers, with a 1-0 victory on the road at City Stadium.

The honor marks the fourth Coach of the Month recognition of Bradford's professional coaching career after being named the USL League One Coach of the Month in July 2021, May 2022 and April 2023.

Bradford earned the award with 49% of the ballot. The Charleston Battery's Ben Pirmann finished second on 43% after leading his side to a 4-1-0 month, which featured a quartet of league victories, each won by two or more goals.

The USL Championship's Coach of the Month award is voted upon by the USL Championship National Media Panel and the USL Championship Technical Committee, with each group responsible for 50% of the overall vote.
