We’ve got a lighter Saturday night of action overall in the USL Championship this weekend with an eight-game slate on Saturday night in league action on TUDN and ESPN+. Here are seven players you should have a close eye on.

1. Albert Dikwa, Rhode Island FC – The 2023 Championship Player of the Year is looking for his first goal since April 5 as RIFC returns home to host his former club Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Coming off a six-point road trip and aiming for a first win at new home Centreville Bank Stadium, the Cameroonian could take center stage.

2. Cory Burke, Lexington SC – The veteran forward was named in Jamaica’s preliminary roster for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup earlier this week but likely has work to do to make the final roster. Lifting a Lexington attack that has one goal in its past six outings across all competitions against a Tampa Bay Rowdies defense that has struggled this season would be a step in the right direction.

3. Francisco Bonfiglio, Miami FC – The 23-year-old Argentine has scored in four consecutive league outings for Miami, the club’s longest individual scoring streak since it joined the Championship in 2020. Bonfiglio’s run of form has coincided with a four-game undefeated run, and if Miami takes victory against Birmingham Legion FC this Saturday it’ll surpass its win total from the 2024 campaign.

4. Taylor Davila, Louisville City FC – By his standards, Davila had a down performance in LouCity’s 1-1 draw against Hartford Athletic last time out. The California native will look to lead his side – which remains undefeated in the league – back into the win column as they head West to face Monterey Bay FC.

5. Jürgen Damm, Oakland Roots SC – The former El Tri international bagged an excellent finish against North Carolina FC in his first appearance since late April last Friday night. Hopefully for Roots he may be back in the starting lineup at the Coliseum for the club’s visit from Western Conference leader New Mexico United as Oakland looks to rebound and jump back above the playoff line.

6. Bryce Jamison, Orange County SC – The United States youth international hasn’t registered a goal contribution yet in the Championship this season but has had some really bright moments. His speed and ingenuity in the final third could be what Orange County needs to break down Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s defense as it enters Championship Soccer Stadium off consecutive shutouts.

7. Frank Daroma, El Paso Locomotive FC – The Sierra Leone native will return to Cashman Field for the first time since making more than 50 appearances over two seasons for the Lights to start his professional career. Daroma’s been a key tempo setter for Locomotive since his arrival this offseason and should have an important role in breaking down Las Vegas’ back line.
