ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Friday it will host Liga MX club FC Juarez in an international friendly on Wednesday, June 25th at 7 p.m. ET at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.
The match is the fourth international friendly in United’s history, and the second against FC Juarez. The Liga MX side won the first meeting between the clubs in 2024 by a 4-2 margin when Angel Zaldívar scored a pair of first-half goals before second-half tallies by Marco Micaletto and Kalen Ryden pulled United back within a goal before Juarez struck late to seal the win.
FC Juarez is coming off a campaign in which it finished ninth in Liga MX Clausura before falling to CF Monterrey in the play-in round of the Liga MX Liguilla. The finish under young Head Coach Martín Varini was the club’s best in either an Apertura or Clausura since earning promotion to the top-flight of Mexican soccer last decade.
