Jersey will be worn during warmups ahead of May 10th match against Phoenix Rising FC, proceeds will benefit ALS New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - New Mexico United announced on Monday it had partnered with ALS New Mexico to launch the ALS Kit, which will be worn in honor of late legendary New Mexican soccer star, Pat Grange prior to the club’s contest against Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday, May 10 at Isotopes Park.

Grange played soccer for Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico, and was a semi-professional player in Chicago after his graduation. In 2012 at the young age of 29, Pat passed away from ALS, taken from a community that loved him too soon.

“While Pat has been gone for more than a decade, his legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of New Mexicans,” said New Mexico United President Ron Patel. “We honor his memory each and every season, and are honored to partner with ALS New Mexico to keep that memory alive.”

The jersey features the orange, yellow, and grey associated with ALS New Mexico, and their fight against ALS. Each jersey is emblazoned with Grange’s No. 4 on the back in Pat’s memory.

Proceeds from the sale of the ALS Kit will benefit ALS New Mexico and their search for a cure for this disease. Fans can purchase their kit online or at the United Team Store, located at the corner of Carlisle and Central in Albuquerque.
