ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - New Mexico United announced on Tuesday it had signed goalkeeper Ford Parker for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. Parker will be available for selection in New Mexico’s contest against El Paso Locomotive FC on Wednesday night in the Third Round of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Most recently, Parker competed for South Georgia Tormenta FC in USL League One where he made 16 appearances during the 2024 season. The 28-year-old recorded four shutouts and 49 saves for Tormenta in regular season play, posting a save percentage of 65.3 percent.
An Albuquerque native, Parker previously played four seasons in the Championship, including two campaigns with New Mexico across the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He recorded 14 saves, one shutout and a save percentage of 70 percent across four league appearances, while also making two appearances in the U.S. Open Cup.
Additionally, he made two league appearances for Birmingham Legion FC across the 2020 and 2021 seasons, logging nine saves and a save percentage of 75 percent while allowing three goals.
Parker had previously played college soccer at the University of New Mexico and University of California Irvine, as well as the Albuquerque Sol of USL League Two. Following his time with United, Parker played one season with South Georgia Tormenta FC.
