LOUCITY’S SEAN TOTSCH TOPS ALL-TIME REGULAR SEASON MINUTES LIST
Louisville City FC defender Sean Totsch became the USL Championship’s all-time leader in regular season minutes this past Saturday, moving to a career mark of 22,259 minutes as he played the full 90 minutes in LouCity’s 1-1 draw against Sacramento Republic FC to surpass former Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC midfielder Kenardo Forbes.
Currently in his 11th season in the USL Championship, Totsch has compiled a remarkable career that has seen him win the league title three times, claim the Players’ Shield twice and earn five Championship All-League selections. He has also been part of more regular season wins (158) and shutouts (83) than any other player in league history and is the league’s all-time leader in goals by a defender, recording 27 tallies in 276 appearances.

TWO HISTORIC RIVALRIES RETURN IN WEEKEND’S SLATE

Two of the longest-running series in the USL Championship will return this Saturday as the Charleston Battery host Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Patriots Point and Orange County SC hosts Sacramento Republic FC at Championship Soccer Stadium.
The meeting between the Battery and Hounds will be the 31st between the clubs in the USL Championship era, the second-most contested active series in the league. Over their prior 30 meetings, the Battery have earned a 10-7-13 record to hold a narrow edge over their Old Guard Shield rivals.
Orange County and Republic FC will meet for the 28th time, meanwhile, ranking as the third-most contested series in the league’s history. Republic FC holds an 11-10-6 record in the regular season series, having moved ahead in the series with a 2-0 victory on its last visit to Championship Soccer Stadium last April 20.

LOUCITY’S DAVILA BROTHERS CONTINUE TRADITION OF BROTHERLY LOVE
Louisville City FC’s Taylor and Evan Davila were both starters in the club’s lineup to face Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, marking the second time the duo had started a game for the club since each arriving prior to the 2024 season. The Davila brothers had also both started at home to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on July 19, 2024.
The Davila brothers are the ninth brothers to have started in the same game for a club in the USL Championship’s history. Current Birmingham Legion FC midfielder Enzo Martinez and brother Alex Martinez, who competed together for four seasons with the Charlotte Independence, hold the current record for the most combined appearances by a pair of brothers in the league with 386 games.

TOM SOEHN’S TENURE ENDS AT BIRMINGHAM LEGION
Birmingham Legion FC announced on Wednesday the departure of Tom Soehn as the club’s Head Coach, the first in-season coaching change of the 2025 season. The first Head Coach in Legion history, Soehn had the second-longest active tenure at a USL Championship club at the point of his departure, with only Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC’s Bob Lilley having been in his role longer.

- Hartford Athletic defender Adrian Diz Pez’s red card against Loudoun United FC on Saturday afternoon was his seventh in the USL Championship regular season, marking the most for an individual player in league history.

Pickering also found the net on his league debut for Memphis 901 FC on August 6, 2022, against Hartford Athletic.
- El Paso Locomotive FC’s league-leading four goals from corner kicks in the USL Championship so far this season has matched the club’s total of goals from corner kicks from the full 2024 regular season.
- Following this past Saturday’s 2-2 draw with North Carolina FC, Indy Eleven has dropped 16 points from winning positions at home since the start of the 2024 season, the most of any club in the USL Championship over that span.
