Abdellatif Aboukoura takes home Player of the Week honors with second Loudoun United FC brace

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship today announced the Team of the Week for Week 4 of the 2025 regular season, with Loudoun United FC forward Abdellatif Aboukoura named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with his second professional brace.

The 20-year-old Fairfax, Va. native led Loudoun United FC to its first victory against Rhode Island FC, recording a five-minute, first-half brace to propel Loudoun to a 2-0 victory against the reigning Eastern Conference champions at Segra Field. Now with four goals through his first four league matches, the former Egypt youth international earned his first career Player of the Month honor.

"We are feeling good, but it's always one game at a time," Aboukoura said. "We've had a strong start to the season, now it's time to put our heads down and keep on working towards our goal."

"We wanted to come out here, in our home opener, and be aggressive, assertive, and put [Rhode Island FC] under pressure," said Loudoun Head Coach Ryan Martin. "We accomplished all those things. Seems like they struggled to break us down, we held our own in the box and looked very comfortable. A good way to bounce back after Louisville."

The Championship's Player of the Week is selected by the USL National Media Panel, which is made up of representatives from each media market in the Championship. Aboukoura finished with 64%, while Colorado Springs' Marco Micaletto finished second on 18%.
