Lexington SC acquires midfielder Michael Adedokun on loan from CF Montreal

2024 MAC Hermann Trophy winner joins LSC for remainder of 2025 USL Championship season

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club announced on Thursday the club had acquired midfielder Michael Adedokun on loan from Club de Foot Montréal of Major League Soccer for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Adedokun joins Lexington having previously been selected with the No. 13 pick of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft following an outstanding collegiate career at Ohio State University. Adedokun was awarded the 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy – NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer’s top individual award – after recording eight goals and seven assists in 18 appearances for the Buckeyes last fall.

In addition to the MAC Hermann Trophy award, Adedokun also earned Big Ten Midfielder of the Year, All-Conference First Team honors, and to the United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team.

Adedokun also previously competed in USL League Two, spending time with the Flint City Bucks, Dutch Dayton Lions, and Fort Wayne FC.
