LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Thursday the club had signed midfielder Christopher Pearson to a contract through the 2025 USL Championship season.

The club also announced it had signed goalkeeper Carver Miller to a one-year deal, midfielder Rory O’Driscoll to a one-year deal with a club option for the 2026 season, and midfielder Ashish Chattha to a 25-day contract. The transactions are pending league and federation approval.

Pearson made a total of 18 appearances in 2024 for Columbus Crew 2 in MLS NEXT Pro, recording two goals and two assists in 1,227 minutes of action as Crew 2 reached the Eastern Conference Final.

“We are delighted to welcome Christopher to the Lights. We believe his profile will be a great fit for the way we’ll play this year under Head Coach Antonio Nocerino,” said Lights Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “He’s a young player who can give us an effective defensive presence in midfield while also being a good ball progressor who can break lines with his passing. We’re looking forward to integrating him into the team as we approach our Home Opener on March 8th.”

Pearson made his professional debut in 2022 with Jamaican Premier League side Cavalier FC, participating in 10 matches across league and Concacaf competitions. He then made his USL Championship debut for FC Tulsa in the 2023 campaign, making 23 appearances before getting loaned to Huntsville City in MLSNP at the end of the campaign.

A former Jamaica U-20 international, Pearson was called up by the Jamaican senior team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches against El Salvador, Canada, and Honduras.

Carver joins the Lights having spent the past two seasons with Portland Timbers 2 of MLS NEXT Pro. A D.C. United and Arminia Bielefeld academy product, he made 11 appearances all competitions and recorded two clean sheets against Austin FC II and Ventura County FC in the past campaign.

O’Driscoll most recently competed for Minnesota United 2 of MLSNP, recording eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances. He also made his MLS debut after signing a short-term deal with Minnesota United FC, making an appearance in a 3-2 loss to Portland Timbers.

“We’re excited to bring both Carver and Rory into the squad as young players with good potential,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “Carver is only 20 years old, stands at 6-foot-4, and already has European and MLS NEXT Pro experience under his belt. Rory joined our preseason as a trialist and impressed with his performances. He’ll add important competition to our midfield group as he continues his development.”
