New Mexico United signing Jaylin Lindsey has spent the past three seasons with Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Thursday the club had signed defender Jaylin Lindsey ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Lindsey joins United having spent the past three seasons with Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer where he recorded 54 appearances and logged 3,271 minutes of action while notching one goal and seven assists.
The 24-year-old had previously come through the Sporting Kansas City system before signing with the club as a Homegrown Player ahead of the 2018 MLS season. Overall in his career, Lindsey has logged three goals and 11 assists in 88 appearances in the MLS regular season.
“We are very excited to welcome Jaylin to the United family,” said United Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. “His resume and skillset speak for themselves, and we can’t wait to see what he will do in Black & Yellow.”
Prior to his First Team debut for Sporting KC, Lindsey competed in the USL Championship for Sporting Kansas City II, making his debut in the 2016 campaign before going on to make 26 appearances in the regular season and playoffs. He also competed at the U-17 and U-20 level for the United States, competing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup with new United teammate Chris Gloster before helping the United States win the 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
