Lexington SC signs Jamaican veteran Cory Burke

33-year-old forward recorded 28 goals, nine assists in 134 appearances in Major League Soccer

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington SC announced on Wednesday the club had signed Jamaican forward Cory Burke ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Burke joins Lexington SC having most recently competed for the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, where over the past two seasons he has recorded three goals and one assists in 41 appearances, logging 1,263 minutes of action. Prior to joining the Red Bulls, the 33-year-old spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Union, and has recorded 28 goals and nine assists in 134 regular-season appearances in MLS.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Burke had previously competed in the USL Championship for the Philadelphia Union II, where he recorded 15 goals and six assists in 49 regular-season appearances.

Burke has also competed at the senior national team level for Jamaica, for which he has recorded nine goals in 34 appearances. His most recent appearances for the Reggae Boyz came in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup, where he recorded one goal across four appearances as the side reached the Semifinals.
