MIAMI - Miami FC announced on Tuesday the club had signed forward Kevin Hoyos ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Hoyos joins Miami FC having most recently competed for CD América de Quito in Ecuador, where he recorded seven goals and one assist in 30 appearances in Liga Pro Serie B. The 31-year-old also made one appearance in the Copa Ecuador for the side.
A native of Fountain Valley, Calif., Hoyos moved to Argentina as a teenager to join the Academy at Estudiantes de La Plata, where he turned pro in 2012. The following year he joined Honduran club CD Victoria on loan and recorded one goal in three appearances in the Concacaf Champions League as well as seeing action in the league.
More recently, Hoyos returned to Honduras to play for CD Marathón in the Liga Nacional Clausura, where he recorded four goals in 14 appearances across all competitions.
“I am very happy to join Miami FC,” said Hoyos. “This team is built for success, and with our incredible fans behind us, we’ll fight for championships together. I can’t wait to give my all, represent this club with pride, and bring home the trophies Miami deserves.”
