LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington SC announced on Thursday it had acquired defender Kieran Sargeant on loan from Houston Dynamo FC of Major League Soccer for the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Sargeant joins Lexington having spent the 2024 season with Houston Dynamo 2 of MLS NEXT Pro. The 21-year-old made 26 appearances for the side and recorded 33 tackles at a 75 percent success rate, 29 interceptions and 97 recoveries while recording one goal and two assists.

A native of Houston, Sargeant signed as a Homegrown Player with the Dynamo after competing for three seasons collegiately at Georgetown University. Sargeant made 60 appearances for the Hoyas, recording four goals and 15 assists as he was voted to the All-Big East First Team following his junior season and All-League Third Team following his sophomore season.

He had previously come through the Dynamo Academy, where he was the club’s Player of the Season at the U17 level in 2019-20.
