FC Tulsa exercises contract option on Patrick Seagrist

Experienced defender has recorded 128 appearances in Championship over four seasons

TULSA, Okla. – FC Tulsa announced on Tuesday it had exercised its contract option on defender Patrick Seagrist for the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Seagrist returns to Tulsa after logging 2,237 minutes across 32 appearances this past season. The 26-year-old tallied one goal during play while posting 42 interceptions and 35 tackles won at a success rate of 64.8 percent. The left-sided defender also logged 13 chances created and completed 12 crosses at success rate of 21.4 percent.

A native of Barrington, Ill., Seagrist has made 128 appearances in the USL Championship in his career after previously competing for Indy Eleven, Memphis 901 FC and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. He has recorded two goals and eight assists in that span, notching a career-high four assists for Memphis in the 2022 campaign.

Selected by the New York Red Bulls in the 2020 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, Seagrist made three appearances in the abbreviated campaign before being traded to Inter Miami CF ahead of the 2021 season, from where he was sent on loan to Indy Eleven to begin his career in the Championship.
