EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC announced on Tuesday it had signed midfielder Frank Daroma ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The signing is pending league and federation approval, and the terms of the deal will not be disclosed per club policy.

The 23-year-old Sierra Leone native most recently played for Tacoma Defiance in MLS NEXT Pro, where he made 39 appearances and notched more than 3,100 minutes across the past two seasons, finding the back of the net on one occasion. Daroma was consistently one of Tacoma's top distributors, posting a 91.7 percent passing accuracy rate while also leading the side with 38 interceptions in the 2023 season.

“I’m super excited to get this season underway,” said Daroma. “We are all hungry to get this team to the top and give the fans the joy they deserve. I’m going to do the best I can to help the team be successful and I look forward to having a special season with our fans.”

Daroma previously competed in the USL Championship with Las Vegas Lights FC, where he began his professional career during the 2021 season. During his two seasons with the Lights, Daroma made 64 appearances in the regular season, currently the most of any player in Las Vegas’ history. He led the Lights in passing accuracy rate at 89.8 percent and also led the side in duels won (322 of 569) and recoveries (394) as well as recording three assists.

“Frank is a quality player who’s impressed us throughout his time in the USL Championship and MLS NEXT Pro,” said Locomotive Technical Director Ray Saari. “His qualities in possession, tactical acumen and ability to break up play make him a player who can contribute to our team right away in 2025.”
