ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Friday it had signed winger Dayonn Harris to a new contract ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season with a club option for the 2026 campaign. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Harris proved a key contributor on both sides of the ball during his first season with United before suffering a knee injury that forced him to miss the second half of the season. Prior to his injury in August, Harris had notched one goal, two assists and 13 chances created while logging a cross-success rate of 33.3 percent in 685 minutes of action.
During his rehabilitation, Harris has participated in free clinics for kids and community work across New Mexico.
Prior to joining United, Harris recorded six goals, six assists and 56 chances across 77 appearances and 3,198 minutes of action for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. He had previously competed for Real Monarchs SLC, and has logged 106 appearances in the USL Championship across the regular season and playoffs in his career.
Harris also earned his first senior national team call-up in June for Antigua and Barbuda, making his debut for the side in a 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying contest against Bermuda.
