LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington SC announced on Thursday it had acquired defender Danny Barbir via transfer from fellow USL Championship club Miami FC ahead of the 2025 season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Barbir spent the past campaign with both Indy Eleven and Miami FC, joining the latter via transfer midway through the campaign. The 26-year-old made 19 appearances for Miami, recording 30 clearances, 20 interceptions and 47 recoveries and winning 53 duels at a 63.1 percent success rate.
“This is an exciting project to be a part of,” said Barbir. “I’m looking forward to meeting the gaffer and my teammates and bring some real excitement to Lexington fans/community.”

He made his professional debut in the USL Championship for Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in 2017.
