LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington SC announced on Wednesday the club had signed forward Dylan Borczak and versatile defender Jacob Greene ahead of the upcoming 2025 USL Championship season. The transactions are pending league and federation approval.
Borczak joins Lexington having most recently competed for Memphis 901 FC in the USL Championship where he recorded five goals and two assists across 62 appearances over the past two seasons. The 25-year-old had previously competed in the league for Rio Grande Valley FC, where he recorded 21 appearances in the 2022 season and notched a pair of goals.
“Signing with Lexington Sporting Club is an incredible opportunity to grow both as a player and a person,” said Borczak. “It’s an exciting new chapter in my career, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that values hard work, passion, and community. I’m ready to contribute to the club’s success and help bring our fans something to celebrate.”
“We are excited to welcome Dylan to the Lexington Sporting Club family,” said Lexington Head Coach Terry Boss. “He embodies the work ethic and passion we strive for as a club, and we are confident that he will be an impactful player both on and off the field.”
Greene joins Lexington after stints with D.C. United and Columbus Crew 2, where this past season he recorded three appearances in MLS NEXT Pro. A product of the D.C. United academy, Greene previously competed in the USL Championship for Loudoun United FC where he made 73 appearances across five seasons, recording three goals and two assists.
He went on to make 11 appearances for D.C. United during the 2023 MLS season before heading to Columbus.
“It means a lot for me to sign for Lexington,” said Greene. “I am excited to get started and give my all for the club.”
“Jacob is a fantastic addition to our team,” added Boss. “His professional pedigree and versatility on the pitch make him an ideal fit for the style of play we are building at Lexington SC. We’re excited to see what he brings to the table.”
