IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County SC announced on Tuesday the club had signed forward Tristan Trager ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
A native of San Clemente, Calif., Trager joins Orange County having spent the 2024 season in Northern California with Monterey Bay F.C., where he recorded eight goals and two assists in 20 appearances while posting a 63.9 percent shooting accuracy rate and 22.2 percent shot conversion rate.
“It feels amazing to be signing with Orange County SC, I don’t think any other words could describe it,” said Trager. “I grew up playing on the fields around the stadium, so it’s amazing to be back here close to family. I think Danny [Stone] did a great job turning things around and Orange County is a team that creates a lot of chances for their forwards and has Championship DNA. I’m excited to get to work.”
Trager will enter his fourth season in the USL Championship in Orange County having previously competed for Atlanta United 2 and the Charleston Battery over the past two seasons. The 25-year-old has recorded 21 goals and five assists in 73 appearances in the Championship across the regular season and playoffs, averaging a goal every 203.4 minutes so far in his career.
“We are delighted to bring Tristan back home to OC,” said OCSC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Peter Nugent. “He is a proven goalscorer within the league and will complement our group of forwards perfectly.”
