INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced on Thursday it had signed defender Pat Hogan ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval, and per club policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Hogan joins the Boys in Blue after spending the past the past two seasons with fellow USL Championship club Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. The 27-year-old made 25 appearances during the 2024 campaign and recorded 103 clearances, 38 tackles, 35 interceptions, and one goal in 1,806 minutes as part of a Hounds defense that allowed the fewest goals in the USL Championship (29) and tied for the league lead in shutouts (16)
In his first year in Pittsburgh, the Charlotte, N.C.-area native was a key cog in the Hounds' effective center back rotation, appearing in 26 matches as the Hounds claimed the Players’ Shield. That campaign he recorded 58 clearances, 21 interceptions and made a career-best 88 recoveries.
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Hogan had previously played in the USL Championship for the Charleston Battery, where he spent his first two seasons as a professional. Overall in the USL Championship’s regular season, Hogan has made 88 appearances and logged 258 clearances while averaging a duel success rate of 66.7 percent, and aerial duel success rate of 74 percent and a tackle success rate of 69.1 percent.
