Las Vegas Lights announce initial roster moves for 2025 USL Championship season

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Wednesday it first roster decisions ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season, with 17 players currently set to return to the club in the new campaign.

The Lights announced they had exercised the options of goalkeeper Raiko Arozarena, defenders Joe Hafferty and Maliek Howell, midfielders Giovanni Aguilar and Coleman Gannon, and forwards Khori Bennett and Christian Pinzón.

Additionally, goalkeeper Nicholas Ammeter, defenders Elias Gärtig, Gennaro Nigro, Gaoussou Samake and Shawn Smart, midfielders Charlie Adams, Edison Azcona and Valentin Noël, and forwards Vaughn Covil and Joe Gyau remain under contract entering the 2025 season.

The club also announced Sawyer Crisostomo, Andre Fortune, Dominic Pereira, Zander Romero, and Austin Wormell were out of contract, while the loans of Grayson Doody, Ousman Jabang, and J.C. Ngando had expired, returning the players to their parent clubs.

Las Vegas elected to decline the options of Solomon Asante and Emrah Klimenta but remains in talks with both players for a potential return in 2025. Similarly, Ali Gue is out of contract but remains in talks for a potential return in 2025.
