BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham Legion FC announced on Tuesday its first roster moves ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season, with 13 players set to return to the club for the new campaign.
Among the returnees, Legion has signed both Enzo Martinez and Tyler Pasher to new contracts, and exercised contract options on goalkeeper Matt VanOekel, midfielder Matthew Corcoran and forward Dawson McCartney.
Additionally, goalkeeper Trevor Spangenberg, defenders Ramiz Hamouda, Phanuel Kavita, Moses Mensah, AJ Paterson, midfielders Kobe Hernandez-Foster and Jake Rufe, and forward Preston Tabort Etaka are also set to return having previously under contract for the 2025 campaign.
Legion also announced the departures of defender Alex Crognale, midfielder Mikey Lopez and forwards Prosper Kasim, Diba Nwegbo and Stefano Pinho. Additionally, defender Derek Dodson and midfielder Miguel Perez have returned to their respective parent clubs after being loaned to Birmingham for the 2024 season.
