Precision long-range strikes highlighted the past week of action, which finish gets your vote?

The opening weekend of August delivered some remarkable long-range strikes from players across the USL Championship, including one that was selected as among Saturday’s best highlights on ESPN’s SportsCenter. We’ve picked out four that shone brightest, now it’s up to you to pick the winner of the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week presented by Select.

USL Championship Goal of the Week – Week 22

Clay Holstad (RI) - #DETvRI, 8/3/24: Holstad drifted across the top of the penalty area onto his left foot in second-half stoppage time before unleashing a perfect strike to the top-left corner for Rhode Island’s equalizer against Detroit City FC on CBS.

Tommy Williamson (LDN) - #LDNvMIA, 8/3/24: Williamson’s first goal of the season was one for the highlight reel as his curled free kick from 25 yards to the left of center was perfectly placed, clipping the inside of the left post before finding the net.

Edwin Laszo (TUL) - #SAvTUL, 8/3/24: The Colombian midfielder thundered home a strike from almost 40 yards out into the top-right corner to get a nod from ESPN’s SportsCenter, while the finish also stood as the winner in Tulsa’s first victory in club history on the road in San Antonio.

Edward Kizza (PIT) - #SACvPIT, 8/3/24: The Ugandan forward found a pocket of space in the left side of the penalty area and produced a brilliant first-time finish to the right corner of the net for the Hounds’ winner on the road in Sacramento.
