Orange County SC has become known around U.S. Soccer circles as a pipeline of young talent. The club has featured multiple U.S. youth internationals who subsequently made the jump to Europe over the last five years.

That’s built a buzz around prodigiously talented forward Bryce Jamison. On Saturday night, he showed why it’s entirely justified.

Part of the United States U-17 Men’s National Team that competed at the FIFA U-17 World Cup last October, the Atlanta native’s first two-goal performance in the Championship showed off the quality and technique that could see him make the jump to European soccer sooner rather than later.

His opening goal before a sellout crowd at Weidner Field was pure technique. Nominated for the Championship’s Goal of the Week, the 18-year-old controlled perfectly on his chest at the top of the penalty area before powering home a left-footed volley into the top-left corner that left Switchbacks goalkeeper Christian Herrera frozen.

His second showed his awareness, stealing in ahead of his marker to put home a first-time right-footed finish, making the most of Anish Chattha’s header across the penalty area. With his brace, Jamison became the first teenager in OCSC’s history to post a two-goal game in the Championship.

After a slow start to the season, Jamison has come into his own over the last three weeks. He bagged a sharply-taken game-winner against Detroit City FC on June 1 and now has three goals in 545 minutes this season. After the last two summers saw predecessors Kobi Henry (Stade de Reims) and Korede Osundina (Feyenoord) make their big moves, Jamison is on a similar path.

- Damián Rivera, Tampa Bay Rowdies – The 21-year-old’s second goal of the season was beautifully taken and lifted the Rowdies to a brilliant 3-2 victory against Louisville City FC on Saturday night.

- Hunter Sulte, Indy Eleven – The 22-year-old goalkeeper made a crucial penalty save early against San Antonio FC and an impressive one-on-one stop shortly after Indy took the lead to help the Boys in Blue run their winning streak in the league to eight games.

- Coleman Gannon, Las Vegas Lights FC – The 21-year-old scored the fastest goal for Las Vegas this season with a thunderous finish from the left side of the penalty area as the Lights earned a point against Loudoun United.

- Riley Bidois, Loudoun United FC – The New Zealand youth international had one shot and three chances created against Las Vegas while completing 16 of 19 passes after nailing down a regular starting spot in recent weeks.

- Rocco Rios Novo, Phoenix Rising FC – The Argentine standout posted a five-save performance against El Paso Locomotive FC including an outstanding point-saving stop deep in second-half stoppage time of the 1-1 draw.
