TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Thursday the nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month award Presented by Konami eFootball for May, honoring four of the top performers throughout the third month of the 2024 season as they take their place on the ballot.
Voting in the Championship Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:
A fan vote on USLChampionship.com will comprise 51 percent of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, June 10 at 12 p.m. ET.
The USL Technical Committee’s ballots comprise 25 percent of the poll.
The USL National Media Panel’s ballots comprise 24 percent of the poll.
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, June 13.
Please note: The USL Championship Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as USL Championship Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.
Marlon Santos, Memphis 901 FC – Santos recorded five goals and three assists in four appearances, posting a goal contribution every 42.1 minutes while scoring in every game, and had eight chances created as Memphis went undefeated.
Ronaldo Damus, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC – The Haiti international recorded five goals in three games, averaging a goal every 53.8 minutes, recording seven shots on target and a shooting accuracy rate of 77.8 percent as the Switchbacks won all three outings.
Augustine Williams, Indy Eleven – The Sierra Leone international recorded three goals in four appearances, averaging a goal every 93.3 minutes, while posting six shots on target and a team-high +1.66 Goals Added mark over the month per American Soccer Analysis.
Hugo Fauroux, Loudoun United FC – The French shot-stopper tied for the league-lead with 19 saves in five appearances and had three shutouts and a goals prevented mark of -0.29 while posting an 0.80 goals-against average.
