Spectacular blasts and a beautifully executed training ground routine highlight this week’s finishes

The second week of the USL Championship delivered another stellar collection of finishes, including a landmark goal for Louisville City FC’s Wilson Harris and some outstanding strikes around the rest of the weekend’s action. We’ve picked four of the top finishes, now it’s up to you to pick the winner of the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week presented by Select.

USL Championship Goal of the Week – Week 2

Kalil ElMedkhar (LDN) - #LDNvNC, 3/16/24: ElMedkhar went at full stretch to send home a brilliant diving header at the back post after teammate Kwame Awuah’s pin-point cross from the left to open the scoring at Segra Field.

AB Cissoko (MEM) - #MEMvIND, 3/16/24: The center back produced an incredibly inventive finish in second-half stoppage time at AutoZone Park, flipping an overhead kick from a narrow angle inside the six-yard area over the goalkeeper and in.

Phillip Goodrum (TUL) - #LVvTUL, 3/16/24: The marksman got off the mark in the opening game of the season for Tulsa with a thunderbolt from 25 yards out that picked out the top-left corner of the net at Cashman Field.

Matt Mahoney (COS) - #COSvDET, 3/16/24: The Switchbacks’ mainstay paid off a tic-tac-toe passing move off a training ground set piece, putting away Maalique Foster’s centering pass after work by Speedy Williams and Quenzi Huerman at Weidner Field.
