TULSA, Okla. – FC Tulsa announced on Thursday the club had acquired midfielder Aaron Kacinari from Italian partner club U.S. Triestina Calcio 1918 and signed midfielder Edwin Laszo ahead of its opening game of the 2024 USL Championship season this weekend. The transactions are pending league and federation approval.

A native of Izola, Slovenia, Kacinari has made five appearances across all competitions for Triestina since signing with the club last August, including two appearances in Serie C, Italy’s third division. The 22-year-old central midfielder had previously made 36 appearances across the top two divisions in his native Slovenia, and also competed in Italy and Albania before joining Triestina.

“Aaron comes to us via our partnership with Triestina,” said Tulsa Head Coach Mario Sanchez. “He is an exciting midfielder who has gained valuable experience playing professionally in Italy. He will add quality on the ball and the ability to cover ground in the midfield.”

Laszo joins Tulsa having most recently played in Bulgaria for Beroe, where he made 18 appearances in the efbet Liga, the country’s First Division, and two appearances in the Bulgarian Cup. A native of Colombia, the 25-year-old had previously played for Metropolitanos, Inter Palmira and Once Caldas in his home country after coming through the Academy system at Italian club Torino, where he helped the club’s U-19 squad claim the Coppa Italian Primavera in 2018.

“Edwin has experience at the highest levels of Colombian soccer and abroad in Europe,” said Sanchez. “He will provide us with an athletic presence in the midfield and the ability to help dictate the tempo of the game with his passing range. His profile fits in perfectly with our playing philosophy.”
