Brilliant pieces of teamwork, a superb solo strike, and a notable late equalizer are up for this week’s award

The USL Championship’s opening weekend of the season produced some spectacular finishes, and just the third goalkeeper goal in league history, as the 2024 campaign opened with a bang. We’ve picked four of the top finishes, now it’s up to you to pick the winner of the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week.

USL Championship Goal of the Week – Week 1

Nighte Pickering (MEM) - #MEMvLV, 3/9/24: The United States youth international produced a sensational dipping finish from 25 yards out to send 901 FC to victory against Las Vegas Lights FC at AutoZone Park.

Lucas Silva (SA) - #SAvLDN, 3/9/24: The newcomer to San Antonio’s lineup teamed up beautifully with Jorge Hernandez and picked out the right corner of the net with a sharp finish from the left side of the penalty area.

Trevor Amann (SAC) - #SACvOC, 3/9/24: The 2023 League One Golden Boot winner made an impressive start to his Republic FC career with two goals, including this brilliant combination with Cristian Parano to set up a sharp cross and headed finish.

Colin Shutler (OC) - #SACvOC, 3/9/24: Shutler became just the third goalkeeper to score in the USL Championship’s history, putting home a close-range header off a corner kick in second-half stoppage time to grab his side a point.
